讲座会主讲嘉宾简介

Kao Pei Ting

Managing Consultant

Pei Ting has been with PwC Malaysia for over 16 years in the field of taxation. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounts and Finance from University of Sydney; and is a member of the Certified Practicing Accountants (“CPA”) Australia. She is currently part of the Northern Region Committee Member of the CTIM. She has been involved with both corporate income tax compliance and consulting assignments for a wide range of clients from various industry sectors including manufacturing, property development, trading, tin smelting, mining, plantation and hotel businesses. Her work experience includes reviewing and managing clients’ tax returns, undertaking capital allowance maximization exercise, application of LMW license, assisting in corporate restructuring advice, incentive applications, new company set ups as well as preparing deferred tax computation. Pei Ting has also worked on numerous GST implementation projects for client in various industry sectors, assist with GST registrations, review of GST-03 return and provision of consultation on GST matters. She is a licensed GST agent. Apart from the above, Pei Ting also frequent instructor for internal courses and external workshops. She is a Human Resources Development Fund certified trainer.
Currently Pei Ting is spearheading Transfer Pricing in Penang Office.

Kang Gaik Hong

Managing Consultant

Gaik Hong has been with PwC Malaysia for over 10 years in the field of taxation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from Sheffield Hallam University, is a fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is a licensed GST agent. Gaik Hong has been involved in corporate tax compliance and consulting assignments for clients engaged in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, trading, property development and services industry. Her assignments varies from deferred tax computations, tax field audit, appeals, tax planning and dealings with regulatory authorities on tax incentive matters. She has worked on numerous GST implementation projects, GST-03 return review / preparation and GST advisory support for clients in various industry sectors, i.e. manufacturing, trading, services, etc.

LIM Huck Khiam

Partner & Regional Office Leader of the Northern Region

Huck Khiam is a Partner and the Regional Office Leader of the Northern Region of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Malaysia. He has over 20 years of experience within the profession and has extensive and broad experience in assurance and advisory services.

His portfolio comprises large national and multinational corporations (“MNC”) ranging from a wide variety of industries including trading, services and manufacturing in Malaysia. He also leads various integrated audits which cover both internal control over financial reporting for SOX 404 compliance purposes and financial statements audit for US MNC. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). He is also a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and has extensive experience in the audit of computerized environment.

Tony Chua

Partner

Tony leads the Tax Services practice of PwC Malaysia Northern Region. He has over 30 years of corporate taxation experience, the last 20 years based in Penang.

Tony is an Approved Tax Agent and also a member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (“CTIM”) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”). Tony has advised a wide range of clients from multinational to family- owned companies on taxation, regulatory and business matters involving income taxes, real property gains tax, stamp taxes, GST as well as tax and fiscal incentives. His experience includes partnering and advising clients on their investments in Malaysia, tax planning opportunities, review of corporate structure to improve tax efficiencies, dispute resolutions, due diligence reviews, mergers, acquisitions and restructuring of business operations.
